A three-bedroom terraced Victorian house in South East London arranged across three floors, including a loft extension. The house is full of colour and character, and offers a unique backdrop for a range of shoot opportunities – whether reflecting authentic modern family life, or as an interesting backdrop for editorial, lifestyle and product shoots.
In the open-plan double living/reception room at the front of the house you’ll find period features such as original floor boards, a large bay window and an open working fireplace. There is a record player and shelves with lots of records, and a dining table seating 6 people.
In the kitchen there is cork flooring and a pink granite worktop, and at the back of the house a small conservatory that can be used as a utility room. This leads to a small paved and gravelled back garden featuring garden furniture, a fire pit bowl, and plants in pots and raised beds.
Upstairs on the first floor, the bathroom is bright in colour – including the ceiling – and has both a freestanding bath and a shower, with an antique mirror, shelves and pictures on the walls. There is a girls bedroom which has pink patterned wallpaper. The main bedroom at the front of the house has a statement headboard and curtain hanging behind the bed, and plantation shutters on the windows. On a sunny day, the front rooms of the house are filled with beautiful sunshine in the afternoon.
Up in the loft extension, the bedroom is painted bright yellow and has a sloped ceiling with skylights, and there are bookshelves on the landing.
A NOTE FROM THE OWNER
“As an interior designer, I’ve filled the house with colour, pattern, textiles, artwork and antiques, and you’ll find plenty of unique details in each space. It’s also a family home as my husband and I have two small children, so there are some signs of family life which add a sense of reality and authenticity. It’s a characterful home with plenty of opportunities for shoots, and a comfortable space with room for both crew and equipment.”
