Description
Westwood is a striking contemporary house on the Bedfordshire/Cambridgeshire border.
The minimal windows are in bronze to compliment the external silver cladding. There is a balance between the striking contemporary architecture and the ‘softer’ domestic interior whilst still holding true to the architecture of the building and rural location. The large rooms can be opened up using pocket sliding doors to give the feel of open space flowing through the building whilst still having individual rooms. The sliding windows on all the downstairs rooms open onto the outside area, the stone floor flows seamlessly through the windows to the infinity reflecting pond down to an external seating area.
