Young Space is a record label in Islington who are based in a stunning building, designed by John Pawson, set across two floors with an additional mezzanine, balcony and labyrinth basement. The converted former millinery factory has a cave-like entrance corridor with a stone floor, heavy wooden door and atmospheric low lighting.
The main ground floor space has two expansive, shared work spaces, set in a large conservatory extension; the natural light from the roof floods onto the beautiful pine flooring, which leads onto an enclosed glass terrace.
The space also has a glass-enclosed meeting room and individual, private pods. The basement has herringbone flooring and is comprised of intriguing corridors, wooden staircases and surprising communal areas – including a modern bar and kitchen.
The first floor houses a further workspace and dining room for 60 people. A steel staircase leads to a mezzanine which plays host to a listening room and large hang out space. ***Please note the recording studios are not available for hire***
